Billie Stringer is a Belfast born photographer now based in London after having completed an MA in Fashion Communication: Fashion Image at Central Saint Martins.
Her work is driven by the power in reclaiming a sense of her own girlhood through a queer, female lens, merging portraiture and fashion. With a focus on each individual claiming their own narrative, the only constant that exists is their being in front of her lens.
Current projects include Fragment 51, which celebrates the ability to think in a different order based on the reading of the poet Sappho, illustrating the many different gender and sexual identities that people express beyond the confines of the traditional binary.
